Frequently Asked Questions:
How
do I go about securing a date with Best Photo?
We invite you to meet with us and
view a video tape of a complete wedding that we have produced so
that you can see the quality of our work first hand. When you have
decided that you'd like us to work with you we require a
non-refundable deposit of one third of the total package price to
reserve your date.
Does
Best Photo charge extra for additional hours spent shooting on our
wedding day?
We are very flexible during your wedding day and do not charge extra
for some additional time you may require (within reason). If you
decide you'd like us to shoot extra events that are not outlined in
our packages such as bridal showers, dress fittings and Jack and
Jill parties, we can be booked at our regular reasonable price.
Will
Best Photo's video equipment be distracting during our ceremony?
We use very quality video equipment which is compact and silent.
Gone are the days where a videographer needed a huge intimidating
camera to produce high quality images. We feel strongly that both
the ceremony and reception should be taped in as unobtrusive manner
as possible.
Our
church has very little interior light. How will our video look?
Our cameras work very well in all but the most dimly-lit interiors
and although image quality can be improved greatly by the use of
on-camera lighting, we will never use it during a wedding ceremony
unless specifically requested by you. However, under the above
conditions you can expect that the colors on your tape will not be
as vivid and there may be some loss of picture detail and sharpness.
We suggest that you let us show you a portion of one of our tapes
that was shot in similar lighting conditions.
How
will Best Photo be able to clearly record our marriage vows?
We utilize small, virtually undetectable wireless microphones (one
is generally worn by the groom, the other is placed on the podium or
officiate, if possible) which clearly pick up all that is said even
if the camera is a great distance from the "action".
Will
our finished tape have many scenes "edited out"?
When we use the term "editing" it by no means refers to
cutting things out of your video. Any great film has many hundreds
of hours of raw footage recorded which the film makers assemble into
a watchable story. If you were to go to a theatre and watch just the
raw footage of even the greatest movie, you'd probably succumb to
boredom not long after it started.
You will let us know what the most important elements of your
wedding story are. For example, some couples request only certain
portions of their ceremony be included in the final tape, others opt
to show it in it's entirety. If there are special guests that it is
imperative to get on tape, we'll do everything we can to include
them.
What
is the average length of the video?
The
length of your final tapes will depend on the duration of the
ceremony, speeches/toast etc. but typically it runs 90 minutes in
length or longer and with our well-paced specialized unique editing
techniques will keep any viewers interest throughout the movie.
